Arrival via Punta Arenas
Land at PUQ via Santiago. Private transfer (about 4.5 hrs) north into Torres del Paine, with a stop for Patagonian lamb on the way. Check in to your in-park lodge by sunset.

Base of the Towers
The classic day. Private guide for the full hike to the Base, 18 km return, the last hour climbing moraine to the glacial lake at the foot of the granite spires. Hot bath at the lodge to recover.

Grey Glacier kayak
Catamaran across Lago Grey to the icefield's edge. Kayak among the icebergs with a guide. Late lunch back at the lodge. Free afternoon, sauna, fireplace, plunge pool.

Gaucho day
Half-day with the gauchos on a working estancia, short ride, asado lunch over the fire, herding stories. Easy afternoon walk to a mirador for the full Cuernos del Paine view.

French Valley
Private guided hike into the French Valley, hanging glacier, granite amphitheatre, the most dramatic single afternoon in the park.

Cross the border to El Chaltén
Long scenic drive north, crossing into Argentina at Cerro Castillo, on through Calafate, ending at a boutique hotel in tiny El Chaltén with Fitz Roy in the window.

Laguna de los Tres
Big day, the Laguna de los Tres trek, with the last hour scrambling up to a lake directly beneath Fitz Roy. Most photographed mountain in Patagonia. Long dinner at the hotel kitchen.

Laguna Torre & slow
